Hitchhiker is built at Yeap GmbH in Köniz near Bern – out of the conviction that companies should know their own people better.
Most companies keep two lists that never meet: the list of tasks nobody has time for, and the list of skills quietly sitting in the building. Hitchhiker lays those two lists on top of each other.
Where we come from
Yeap GmbH builds software that gets people moving – privately with the Yeap app, professionally with Hitchhiker. Both rest on the same observation: development does not come from big programmes but from many small, visible steps.
What we believe
- Volunteering beats assignment. Someone who puts their own hand up brings a different energy than someone who was allocated.
- Visibility before process. The biggest lever is not a new procedure but knowing who can do what.
- Small assignments, real effect. A day of job shadowing shifts more attitude than a day of seminar.
- Swiss standards. Developed and operated in Switzerland, with the data protection Swiss companies expect.
